Located in the Barsac terrior, Château Doisy-Védrines was created after two other estates splitted up: Château Doisy Daëne and Château Doisy Dubroca. Doisy-Védrines got its name from the Védrines knights who owned the estate until the middle of the 19th century. Shortly after, the Castéja family acquired the Château and still owns it today. The yields are low, and the grapes are harvested by hand and then sorted several times. Sorting the grapes makes it possible to select only the grapes that are most affected by the noble rot “Botrytis Cinerea”. Château Doisy-Védrines’ wine is one of the richest on the nose and is even one of the sweetest in Barsac. It is a well-balanced wine with beautiful notes on the finish, aromatic and full of finesse.
