Château Figeac

  • Bordeaux

Domain

For 120 years, the Manoncourt family has been at the head of the Château Figeac, Saint-Émilion Premier Grand Cru Classé B. With more than 40 hectares of vines, Figeac is one of the largest estates in the region, bordering Pomerol. Its encepagement is quite original and rather balanced for the Right Bank: Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet-Sauvignon.  Thanks to its three gravel mounds, water flows particularly well. With great quality sandy gravel, found, in particular, at its prestigious neighbour Cheval Blanc, and a microclimate that favours the ripening of the grapes, its wine-growing potential is exceptional. It is found in the wine, recognisable among all. Its unique blend gives it a racy allure, tannins of rare elegance, and particularly bright in warm vintages. It ages divinely and leaves you wanting more, tighter in its youth and becoming more complex with age. Its old vintages thereby maintain their poise, remaining incredibly powerful and infinitely long in the mouth. A real gem…
