Château Faugères

Château Faugères, owned by Silvio Denz since 2005, is located on the sunny slopes of the Dordogne valley, 6 kilometers east of Saint-Emilion. He was promoted Grand Cru Classé in 2012 during the revision of the Saint-Emilion ranking. At the top of its vineyard stands an iconic cathedral designed by Mario Botta. Called the Cathedral of wine, it houses a tasting room, a terrace with panoramic views of the vineyards, a barrel cellar and a vat room. According to Silvio Denz, the objective of this new cellar is to constantly search for quality wines, at all stages of production using advanced technologies.  Its wines reveal aromas of raspberry, almond, fig, peony, prune and rose.
