Founded in 1879 in Haro, in Spain's prestigious Rioja wine region, the CVNE winery, also known as Compañía Vinícola del Norte de España, is a veritable institution in the Spanish wine world. With over a century of history, it embodies excellence, innovation and winemaking tradition. Its philosophy is based on an unwavering commitment to quality and authenticity. On its extensive vineyard estates, it grows a variety of indigenous grape varieties, including Tempranillo, Garnacha, Graciano and Mazuelo, which benefit from the unique Rioja terroir to fully express their distinctive character. CVNE's historic 19th-century cellars house thousands of French and American oak barrels, where the wines age slowly to acquire complexity and character. While honouring age-old winemaking traditions, the estate also incorporates modern technologies into its winemaking processes to ensure high quality standards and consistency in its wines.
