For generations, the Lisini winery has thrived in the wine industry. Under the management of Signora Elina Lisini and her son Lorenzo Lisini, this family-run business has acquired a solid reputation worldwide. Established in Sant'Angelo in Colle since the 16th century, on 154 hectares of land, the winery began viticulture nine years before the Second World War, concentrating on top-of-the-range products in the 1960s. The 18 hectares of vineyards, stretching up to 350 metres above sea level, offer ideal conditions, particularly for the famous Brunello. The family's philosophy is based on practices such as late harvesting, rigorous grape selection and limited yields. The vines, some of which are very old, benefit from deep soils rich in minerals and optimal hydration thanks to a deep clay layer. The cellar is now equipped with a temperature control system and the ageing barrels are carefully selected and replaced more frequently. Lisini owes part of its reputation to the expertise of its consultant oenologist, Dr Franco Bernabei, who has played a key role in its rise to excellence. With its commitment to tradition, consistent quality and perfect balance, Lisini continues to shine among the great names in Tuscan wine.
