Since 1707, the Zarate family has been carrying on Galicia's winemaking tradition, cultivating centuries-old vineyards with passion. Pioneers in the production of Albariño since the mid-20th century, they have shared their terroir with the world. Under the direction of oenologist and winemaker Eulogio Pomares since 2000, the estate is committed to environmentally-friendly viticultural practices. With a surface area of 6.54 hectares spread over 11 plots in the Salnés valley, each year the vines are carefully selected to guarantee quality. Certified in Integrated Production since 2006, Zarate bears witness to a sustainable and genuine commitment to viticulture. The estate's vineyards benefit from a unique microclimate, influenced by the nearby Atlantic Ocean. The granite and sandy soils give the Albariño grapes a distinctive expression, characterised by vibrant freshness.
