Domaine Albert Boxler

  • Alsace

Domain

Over the years, the Domaine Albert Boxler has become a true figure of viticulture in Alsace. The origins of the estate go back to the end of the 17th century, when a certain Jean Boxler, originally from Switzerland, settled in the commune of Niedermorschwihr in the Haut-Rhin. Jean Boxler started wine production in 1673: from that date on, the vintage was passed down from generation to generation in the Boxler family. In 1946, the property was managed by Albert Boxler and his wife. They quickly decided to restructure the estate, to buy new plots and to introduce bottling on the estate. In 1962, his son Jean-Marc Boxler took over the management of the estate, leaving it to his son Jean and his wife Sylvie, who now preside over the family estate.
