Owner of Château Tertre Roteboeuf in Saint-Emilion, François Mitjaville also owns Château Roc de Cambes. The only thing separating the two vineyards is the road. The vineyard is located in the heart of a hillside amphitheatre with a gorgeous cellar dating from the XIVth century. The domain’s objective is to produce the best wines each year. In order to make precise and good quality wines, the grapes are harvested by hand which is not very common for wines from the Côtes-de-Bourg appellation. Roc de Cambes has proven to do an outstanding job, both in the cellar and in the vineyard. This domain is considered to be one of the best in the Côtes-de-Bourg appellation. This is the reason why it is often considered as a grand cru classé. The wines have a dense and rich colour. These high-quality wines are powerful and most sought after by wine lovers. The nose is rich, and the fine tannins are ripe and balanced on the palate.
