The Ettore estate is linked to the 4 generations men passionate about the vineyard. The Germano great-great-grand-father owned already 4 hectares on the best part on Barolo hill. A that time the wines stayed confidential and only reserved to the friends and family. The surface has tripled then to reach 10 hectares in Serralunga d'Alba and 9 hectares in Cigliè, in Alta Langa. Sergio who is one of the descendants impressed the wine estate evolution by bringing high technicality in the production method following his schooling at the prestigious Scuola Enologica di Alba. He was one of the first to use Chardonnay, Riesling and Pinot Noir to produce sparkling wines. His passion for terroir and his creativity has helped to produce wines with high finesse and move the estate forward new horizons. Today Ettore Germano is one of the modern figure of the Italian Piemonte.
