  • Vallée de la Loire

Domain

On the Saint Andelain hills in Pouilly Fumé, next to Sancerre is the Sauvignon kingdom. It is here that reigned Didier Dagueneau, local figure of the white wine dead in 2008 after having an original path. Former athlete, he was one of the first to create a blended sauvignon. Loyal to Henry Jayer‘s methods, he dared to question its winemaker decisions and boosted the Pouilly Fumé. He succeeded in making white wine with an incomparable richness and straightness and reached the perfection with extreme crystal sauvignons. His children, Louis-Benjamin and Charlotte keep on working with excellence and are today using high technologic tools to achieve these great wines.  Wine are raised with a high attention in 320L barrel (called cigare) and 600L one (tonne) as it is there that the perfection of wine is also achieved. The vineyard work is fully manual and follows Didier Dagueneau’s rules. The team is composed of 1 person per hectare in order to take care of the terroir and of each plot.
