Located in the commune of Léognan, the residence stands out thanks to its character and superb 19th century Charterhouse. Before adopting the name that we know today, the Château Larrivet Haut-Brion has had a number of different names including "Château de Canolle", "La Rivette" and even "Brion-Larrivet". Since 1987, the Gervoson family has managed the estate and has sought to breathe new life into it. In just a few years, the size of the property has increased from 17 to 73 hectares of vines. Year after year, they continue to modernise the infrastructure and reorganise the vineyard. The terroir is typical of the mid-terrace of the Graves region in Bordeaux. The soil is very gravelly, with dominant sand or clay. The outcrops are very well exposed and perfectly drained. Château Larrivet Haut-Brion produces three wines, in red and white: Château Larrivet Haut-Brion, Les Demoiselles de Larrivet Haut-Brion for the Second wine, and finally Les Hauts de Larrivet Haut-Brion. The hard work and attentive care in the vineyard can be seen in the wine. Fruity flavours are dominant in the red wine, with superb length in the mouth. Harmony and freshness characterise the white wines.
