Our selection of grands crus for under €30
To mark the occasion, our team has pulled out all the stops to bring you a selection of great vintages at low prices (that's not a bad joke either).
Today, it's the 2017 vintage that we're celebrating, a rare but quality vintage. Often regarded as a vintage of contrasts in many of the world's wine-growing regions, it was marked by (highly) variable weather conditions. These influenced the growth of the vines and had an impact on the ripening of the grapes.
In France, the 2017 vintage produced wines that were hailed for their freshness and liveliness, particularly in regions such as Burgundy and Champagne. In other regions, such as Bordeaux, some winemakers had to cope with lower yields. However, one thing is certain: there are always gems to be discovered, even in vintages considered more difficult.
Thibault Liger-Belair Moulin à Vent, Les Vieilles Vignes 2017
Located in the Beaujolais region, 'Moulin à Vent Les Vieilles Vignes 2017' is one of the estate's most distinguished expressions. From the famous Moulin à Vent cru, this wine is made from older vines, giving it extra depth and complexity.
The expertise of Thibault Liger-Belair has produced a Beaujolais wine that reflects the character of its terroir. Moulin à Vent Les Vieilles Vignes 2017 has seductive aromas of ripe red fruit, flowers and spices. On the palate, it is elegant and well-balanced, with silky tannins and a lingering finish.
Alto de Cantenac Brown, Blanc 2017
Located in the renowned Bordeaux wine region of Margaux, Château Cantenac Brown is renowned for its elegant red wines, but has also demonstrated its expertise in producing exceptional white wines.
The 2017 vintage presented climatic challenges in the Bordeaux region, but the estate was able to draw on its expertise and experience to produce a white of remarkable quality.
Alto de Cantenac Brown Blanc 2017 is a blend of traditional Bordeaux white grape varieties such as Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon. This wine offers a brilliant colour and a complex aromatic palette, ranging from fresh citrus to tropical fruit and delicate floral notes.
Château de la Négly La Clape La Falaise 2017
Château de la Négly, located in the Languedoc-Roussillon region, is renowned for producing wines of exceptional quality, perfectly reflecting the terroir of the region.
The 2017 vintage was marked by favourable weather conditions in the Languedoc-Roussillon, providing the grapes with ideal conditions to reach optimum ripeness and develop a great concentration of flavours.
La Clape La Falaise 2017 is a blend made with grape varieties typical of the region, such as Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre, which are grown on clay-limestone soils. This wine stands out for its depth, aromatic intensity and elegant structure.
Rivetto Barbera d’Alba Zio Nando 2017
Rivetto Barbera d'Alba Zio Nando 2017 is a remarkable wine produced by the famous Rivetto house, located in the Piedmont wine region of Italy.
The 2017 vintage was particularly favourable in Piedmont, offering ideal weather conditions for ripening Barbera grapes, the region's emblematic variety. That year, Rivetto Barbera d'Alba Zio Nando was able to capture all the essence of the terroir and express the unique character of this grape variety.
This red wine from Piedmont has aromas of ripe red and black fruit, complemented by spicy and floral notes. On the palate, it stands out for its freshness and refreshing acidity.
Domaine Yann Chave Crozes-Hermitage 2017
Respecting family traditions while embracing innovation, this estate has forged an unrivalled reputation for producing Crozes-Hermitage wines.
