Domain

The Château Siran is an historical Médoc estate. Its origins date back to the fifteenth century. It is one of the rare Grands Crus never to have been classified. The typical characteristics of this estate also lie in its vineyard. The 36 hectares of vines are indeed planted on three different appellations: 25 hectares in the Margaux appellation, 9 hectares in Bordeaux Supérieur and 2 hectares in Haut-Médoc. In 1859, the Miailhe family bought the estate. For more than 150 years, the generations have worked with the common goal of pursuing excellence. Edouard Miailhe, the family's 5th generation, now ensures the continuing operation of the Château. Château Siran's unique terroir and the team's savoir-faire help to produce a powerful, fine and well-balanced wine. The blend is subtle and atypical thanks to the strong presence of Petit Verdot, which represents 15% of the blend in some vintages. This particular feature reinforces the unique character of Château Siran, a charming Grand Cru in its youth and which develops power with age.
