Domaine Stéphane Ogier

  • Vallée du Rhône

Domain

The Ogier family has been settled on the hills of Ampuis for seven generations now. The first vintage in 1983 was marketed by Michel Ogier in small quantities of 6 barrels. Michel Ogier was one of the first to produce a “Vin de Pays” on this specific terroir. In 1997, Michel’s son, Stéphane Ogier, joined him after finishing his studies in Beaune and turned to the production of wines of great finesse and elegance.  The domain became famous around the globe after receiving the rare 100/100 score from Robert Parker for the prestigious wine “La Belle Hélène”. With very limited yields, Stéphane Ogier is one of the most sought-after references for wine in the Rhône Valley. The domain’s wines, nine in total, have a very elegant style. Each wine is produced separately to bring out the best of its potential. “Mon Village” is very well known, a wine with very good balance, fruit and soft tannins.
