In the commune of Moulis-en-Médoc stands the beautiful building of the Château Poujeaux. Classified Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel in 2003, as early as the Middle Ages this estate was a seigneury dependent on Latour Saint Mambert, the future Château Latour. It was in the 19th century that the first wines were produced and that it became independent. Numerous owners succeeded each other until 2008, when the Cuvelier family bought the property. With expert savoir-faire and a flawless passion, the entire team carries on the spirit of the Château Poujeaux and, vintage after vintage, attempts to reach the summit. The vineyard is planted on an exceptional terroir, composed of a large gravelly outcrop. The 68 hectares of uninterrupted vines benefit from traditional methods combined with integrated pest control. Châteaux Poujeaux is a wine of remarkable finesse, presenting subtle aromas, and powerful but silky tannins. Having mastered the perfect balance, Château Poujeaux has become a real point of reference for the appellation.
