3rd Grand Cru Classé in 1855, the Château Malescot Saint-Exupéry is located in the Margaux appellation. Its name comes from two people having marked its history. Firstly from Master Simon Malescot, advisor to the King and purchaser of the property in 1657, and secondly from Count Jean-Baptiste de Saint-Exupéry, owner from 1827 to 1853. The Zuger family has been the owner since 1955. For over sixty years, the three generations have honoured the Château's motto "Semper Ad Altum" which means "Always higher". Quality is favoured over quantity, firstly not to deplete the soil but also to value the careful and precise work undertaken in the vineyards and the cellar. Helped by Michel Rolland, consultant-oenologist, the Château Malescot Saint-Exupéry is a seductive and elegant Grand Vin, echoing Margaux wines.
