Domain

Dominio de Pingus is located north of Madrid in the Spanish province of Castilla y León and is one of the most famous wine estates in the world. Born in Denmark, Peter Sisseck was introduced to the world of wine thanks to his uncle Peter Vinding-Dieder, a famous oenologist and owner of two Châteaux in the Graves region. He went to France to Château Rahoul to help his uncle. He then returned to Denmark to study agricultural engineering after helping his uncle with the legendary 1982 vintage. After gaining so much wine knowledge from his time in Bordeaux, California, and Spain, he founded Dominio de Pingus in 1995, which was his childhood nickname.  At the vineyard, they use traditional methods with biodynamic principles to respect the low vine system. For their wine “Psi”, which he first produced in 2007 with Pablo Rubio, Peter does not use his own grapes but purchases them from winegrowers who own old parcels of Tinto Fino. Dominio de Pingus’ wines are among the most sought-after wines in the world and are one of the leading representatives of “garage wines”. These wonderful wines are powerful, fine, and complex.
