The Château Villemaurine is located in the heart of the Saint Émilion appellation. Its origins date right the way back to the 7th century. After a succession of different owners, the Onclin family have headed the estate since 2005, and more particularly Justin Onclin. Passionate about wine and a great connoisseur, he has undertaken significant work in order to reveal the excellence of Château Villemaurine's terroir. A new fermenting room and a new cellar have been built and the underground quarries, a particular feature of the Saint-Émilion subsoil, have been restored. Wishing to make Château Villemaurine a truly great wine, Justin Onclin and his team provide the best possible care, from the vine to bottling. The Château Villemaurine vineyard consists of 7 hectares in a single holding. On a clay-limestone plateau, 80% of the planted area is devoted to Merlot and 20% to Cabernet Franc. With length, minerality and distinction, Château Villemaurine reflects the remarkable quality of this promising terroir.
