Domain

Domaine E. Guigal is a family estate created by Etienne Guigal in Ampuis in 1946. Passed on from generation to generation, Etienne’s son, Marcel Guigal, joined him in 1961. He then took over Maison E. Guigal. His wife Bernadette joined him in 1973. Their son, Philippe, is the oenologist of the domain today.  In 1995, Maison Guigal bought the famous Château d’Ampuis and then Château de Nalys in 2017 in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Château d’Ampuis is now Maison Guigal’s headquarters. Since 2003, the domain has its own cooperage at Château d’Ampuis to improve their knowledge. Today, the domain owns several vineyards in Côte-Rôtie, Condrieu, Hermitage, Châteauneuf-du-Pape, and Crozes-Hermitage. They practice sustainable viticulture to respect the terroir of these prestigious vineyards and to take care of the vines. The domain’s wines are of incredible quality, both the reds and the whites, and have an excellent price-quality ratio.
