Louis Mitjavile, son of François Mitjavile, and his wife Caroline bought the Aurage estate back in 2007. After growing up at Château Tertre Roteboeuf, they wanted to manage their own estate. Louis also works in vineyards in the Rhône Valley and Languedoc where it brings out the best of the terroir. He uses the experience that he got from these vineyards to create his own wines on his own estate. Formerly called Château Cadet, the same techniques, and methods from Roc de Cambes and Tertre Roteboeuf can be found here. The cellars have been renovated to make sure they can work in better conditions. The grapes are harvested by hand to select the best grapes and produce regular wines. 2007 was the first vintage of the domain and the quality has remained extraordinary vintage after vintage. The nose has a unique expression, the wine is complex but generous on the palate. These wines have great freshness, good balance and a sensual finish.
