Domain

Founded in 2009 by Sophie and Fabrice Larzone, Domaine des Terres de Velle’s story begins with Fabrice. He joined Alex Gambal in his negociant house in Beaune back in 1999 where his wife Sophie eventually joined him in 2004. After a few years of gaining experience, they decided to combine their experience and create their own domain in 2009 called Domaine des Terres de Velle.  Located in the centre of the 6-hectare vineyard, the domain has an old mill dating from the XIXth century. Following renovations in 2011, the mill became operational and is now a functional and authentic working tool. Sophie and Fabrice have stopped the use of herbicides and insecticides as they wanted to have a more organic and biodynamic approach towards viticulture.  Domaine des Terres de Velle produces 16 different wines. To follow the wine’s evolution, they have regular tastings that help them decide the optimal bottling date for each wine. The bottling is done without filtration which leaves a natural deposit in the bottles. Their ambition: to express the terroir in each of their wines.
