Founded in 1782 and stretching between the villages of Gevrey-Chambertin and Vougeot, the estate is now run by Jean de Surrel, great-grandson of General Henri Rebourseau. The harmony and distinction of the wines is achieved through a combination of traditional techniques and modern equipment. As the owner of the oldest plots in the Côte de Nuits, the wines produced retain their natural character, reflecting the soil in which they are grown. The Domaine's methods are traditional and follow 100% organic viticulture combined with bio-dynamic practices.
