Domain

The story of Silver Oak is strongly linked to Cabernet Sauvignon, king in Californy. Raymond Twoney Duncan, a Colorado entrepreneur founded the wine estate side by side with Justin Meyer a talented winemaker. The production was quite short for their first vintage (1100 cases) but the success arrived soon. Their wines became very popular in United States to become of the Nappa Valley must-have. In 1994 Justin step down to Daniel Baron and sold his shares in 2001 to the Duncan family who still run the estate today. In 2006 a fire destroyed the technical buildings and forced the family to invest in new tools with a more respectful system with in particular alternative water sources, innovative water reuse systems and reclaimed building materials. In 2015 Silver Oak was the first wine estate of North America with its own oak cooperage enabling them to master the quality of their barrel. Today Silver Oak estate handles more than 200 hectares between Nappa Valley and Alexander Valley and strive to have a precision viticulture to provide extreme quality wines.
