This familial company was created in 1910 by Henri Bouvier. Its son René Bouvier took the control of the estate in 1950 and developed it to reach a 12 hectares surface of culture in 1991. Today his son, Bernard Bouvier is at the head of the estate with his wife. He decided in 1992 to directly move to a reasonable use of the technical product and a respectful work on the soil. Since 2003, the Domaine René Bouvier has reached an important step: he converted his whole range to ecological method and got the certification Ecocert. Bernard Bouvier is today a part of these young wine-makers that have brought a new breath to Burgundy. According to him “a good wine if the wine that makes salivate and gives the desire to finish the bottle”. His objective? To let the terroir and the vintage express themselves to avoid the wine uniformization. His Fixins, Marsannays or Gevrey Chambertin really embody the Burgundy diversity. His old 90 years old vines give a particular personality and soul to his wines.
