Château Rouget

  • Bordeaux

Domain

Close neighbor from L’Eglise-Clinet and Petrus, Château Rouget covers 17 hectares extended on a soft slope from Pomerol plateau. Coming from a Beaujolais wine culture, the Labruyère family bought the vineyard in 1992. They pay attention to the terroir expression and aspire to give back the nobility dated back from 1868 when the estate was known as the best Pomerol wine. The family has managed to mark its print in the same way: Rouget became in the last few years a Pomerol inevitable value. All the work in the vineyard and in the vat is remarkable and gives to the wine the richness of the greatest bouquet: red fruits, spices, black fruits. The harvest are made by hand and by parcels, in order to preserve the quality grape and obtain the perfect maturity, that represents an essential point for Château Rouget.
