This Grand Cru located on the North of the Saint-Emilion appellation had a rather quiet life before it was purchased by the Dassault family in 2002, who owned the nearby Château Dassault. With a strong investment policy Laurent Dassault intended to rise the wine estate to reach the same level as the Grands Crus Classés around. Mainly formed with Merlot plants Château La Fleur also holds Cabernet Franc plots. With black fruits notes and a nice tannic structure, Château La Fleur is a valuable asset of Dassault Wine Estate with a bright future ahead.
