The Domaine Jacques Prieur is one of the only one with vineyard on the most beautiful Burgundy appellations: Chambertin, Musigny, Clos Vougeot, Echezeaux, Corton, Meursault and Montrachet. This dream collection is linked to Claud Duvergey and Marie Taboureau history, when after founding a wine trade company decided to start to produce wine. Thanks to wise choices and a particular audacity, Claude Duvergey bought plots successively and always choose the best climats carefully. Years after years he constitutes an extraordinary range of vineyards and transmitted this fabulous legacy to the Prieur next generations. In 1988 5 families joined together to purchase the group and avoid it falling into outside hands. The Laburuyère family whose one member is a Prieur descendant manages the group composed of 9 Grands Crus, 14 Premiers Crus and 3 monopole crus. They also bought new Grands Crus plots in Corton-Bressandes and Corton-Charlemagne in 1990. Today, they keep on promoting these amazing wines and the Burgundy climates.
