The Château Lafaurie-Peyraguey, owned by Silvio Denz as well as the Lalique brand, is located in the heart of Sauternes, on the heights of the village of Bommes. Eight centuries of history are preserved thanks to the stones and the archives of the Castles, which testify to a rich past. The Château and the cellars have been completely renovated to meet the new regulatory and environmental constraints (fully air-conditioned cellars and controlled hygrometry). First Grand Cru Classé in 1855, this vineyard is located on the high terrace of Sauternes, 70m above sea level, near the famous Château d'Yquem. The historic heart of the great terroir of the Castle is represented by the plots of "L'Enclos" and "Red Houses", composed of serious quaternary deposited more than 600 000 years ago. With Laufaurie-Peyraguey, Silvio Denz wants to revive the Sauternes appellation with the opening of a Lalique 13-room hotel & restaurant in the Château.
